Retired colonel of the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) Alexei Serebryanski, former foreign espionage chief, addressed Prime Minister Dorin Recean, asking him if he knows what is going on at Moldova’s Embassy in Moscow given the reports about the alleged illegalities involving persons loyal to the ex-President of Moldova.
In a news conference hosted by IPN, Alexei Serebreanschi said that SIS officer Alexandru Pavliuc is the right-hand man of Dodon and the Socialists in the communication with Moscow. In 2019, Pavliuc was detached to Moscow by Esaulenco to work at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Russian Federation as a SIS liaison officer in the collaboration with information and intelligence services of the Russian Federation: the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and the Federal Security Service (FSB),” he stated.
“Pavliuc intimidates, threatens and blackmails diplomats to make them tell him information about the content of the meetings involving ambassador Lilian Darii, about the content of the meetings of Moldovan diplomats with foreign diplomats working in Moscow, about the content of the correspondence between the embassy and the MFAEI, including the instructions and guidelines coming from Chisinau,” said the ex-foreign espionage chief.
Alexei Serebryanski rhetorically asked Premier Recean how a person affiliated to the Socialists can blackmail all the Moldovans diplomats in Moscow, including ambassador Darii. “Do you realize that through the agency of Pavliuc, the Socialists control all the processes at our embassy in Moscow? Mister Prime Minister, do you realize that Pavliuc is Gumeniuc’s man who serves the interests of Dodon with the protection of the SIS vice director Sergiu Druță? Do you know that the SIS vice director Sergiu Druță is related to Dodon’s adviser and they both deal with such crimes?” asked Alexei Serebryanski.
The retired SIS colonel called on Premier Recean not to believe Dodon, who says that he controls the relationship with Moscow. “After the ‘kulyok’ case and his ties with Moldovan oligarchs, all the doors in Moscow were closed to Dodon. Dodon is no longer respected in Moscow. No one there wants to discuss with Dodon,” stated Alexei Serebreanschi.
He also said that Sergiu Druță, who was named vice director of the SIS by the current government, in discussions with representatives of European intelligence services says that Pavliuc in Moscow is his right-hand man and the European intelligence services cannot understand why such persons as Pavliuc, who represents the Socialists, hold posts at the SIS.
