SIS discovers 500,000 lei worth of unmarked jewelry

The Service of Information and Security (SIS) discovered 500,000 lei worth of precious metal and gemstone articles, carrying no state hallmark, in the workshop of a firm in Drochia town, Info-Prim Neo reports. The operation was prepared and unfolded together with officers from the Anticorruption Center (CCCEC) and the Supervisory Chamber for Marking. According to SIS, the value of the jewelry with dubious or no hallmarks at all discovered in the first two months of the year stands at approximately 1 million lei.
