Liberal Mihai Ghimpu is lying and should be ashamed of it, declared Communist MP Sergiu Sirbu during the Parliament’s meeting. The Communists are angered that they weren’t announced about the meeting of the parliamentary Commission on Legal Issues, which approved the Liberal Party’s candidate Anatol Donciu to be nominated for head of the Integrity Commission. Mihai Ghimpu replied that if the PCRM group had not walked out of Parliamenton Thursday they would have known about the meeting of the Commission. Sirbu claims that the Communists learned about the meeting of the Legal Commission from its report, which they received before Thursday’s meeting of the Parliament. That means the commission had met before the Parliament’s meeting that was boycotted by the Communists. “Mister Ghimpu, we received the report before the meeting of the Parliament. Stop lying! You should be ashamed!”, said Sergiu Sirbu. The PCRM group demanded Speaker Marian Lupu to solve the situation or otherwise to initiate the procedure of removing Liberal Victor Popa from the post of the Legal Commission's chairman. Marian Lupu replied that according to the Parliament’s Regulations this wasn’t a matter for him to resolve. Anatol Donciu was confirmed by Parliament as head of the Integrity Commission at the plenary meeting on October 25.
