Single operator created for agricultural information systems

All the information systems in agriculture will be operated by the Agricultural Information Center. It will be created by merging the Livestock Register, the National Information and Computing Center for Grains and the company Agroindsistem, under a decision adopted today by the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry will act as the newly created Center's founder. Minister Vasile said the Center's mission will be to collect and maintain all the information systems in the agricultural sector, including to register livestock traceability, integrate the agricultural information database into the state information database, manage and provide necessary information from all the existing registers in order to facilitate the development and implementation of development policies in agriculture. The financing of the Center's operations will be provided by the State Budget.
