Singer and composer Mircea Gutu passed away

Singer and composer Mircea Gutu died in the hospital on the night of March 15. He was 49 and suffered from pancreatic cancer. Ianos Turcanu, deputy head of the Chisinau Culture Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the municipality will provide support to the artist’s family and will become involved in the organization of the funeral. The burial day hasn’t been yet set. This week, the stage colleagues of the artist took part in a charity concert organized in his support. Owing to his disease, the singer had stayed in the hospital. Mircea Guru had gladdened the public with his songs for over 20 years.
