The organization of simultaneous lessons, when a teacher teaches to two, three or four classes concomitantly, depending on the number of students, contributes to maintaining the primary schools in the settlements where there are few children of school age. According to Deputy Minister of Education Tatiana Poting, such lessons are needed in most of the districts, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Education Ministry, there are 609 classes with simultaneous teaching in 315 national schools.
Simultaneous teaching has existed for several years. It consists of direct work with a class and the independent work of another class. The time allotted for didactic exercises is the same as within activities involving one class.
The Ministry says the classes with simulators teaching are instituted when the number of students in two classes is under 25, in three classes – under 13, while in four classes – under nine. The practice of working with two classes is most frequently used.
