Tiraspol has simplified the conditions of stay of foreigners on the territory of Transnistria. Thus, the period of stay in Transnistria is no longer limited and there is no need to register with the competent bodies during a day of the arrival, as required earlier, IPN reports, quoting the Transnistrian press.
Currently, the procedure for registering foreigners is performed at the entrance to the territory controlled by the separatist administration. The person fills out a migration card for a 45-day period of stay and can extend the period at Transnistrian population monitoring bodies.
As regards the citizens of Moldova, Ukraine, the Russian Federation and Belarus, who until recently could stay in Transnistria for at most 135 days and then had to leave the region, these will be able to extend the period of validity of the migration card without leaving the territory controlled by Tiraspol.
The list of documents needed for obtaining a temporary permit of stay was modified. The records of punishment, documents confirming the absence of debts to the local budget and other documents are no longer required. Only the identity card and realty card are needed. The permit of stay is issued for a three-year period and can be renewed.
