The Socialist MPs submitted a simple motion on healthcare and social protection in the March 16 sitting of the legislature. They demanded to invite Minister of Health Svetlana Cebotari to Parliament for being questioned, IPN reports.
MP Vasile Bolea, who presented the motion, said they want to discuss the hospital reform that will result in the closure of hospitals and the liquidation of whole sections. The situation of doctors is also difficult given the current exodus of medical personnel.
The MP also mentioned the pension system reform that will not produce the expected valorization, but only an indexation of 6% that will represent only 50-60 lei. The protection of children, especially of those who remained without parental care, wasn’t at least included in the minister’s agenda.
The date when the motion will be debated will be set by the Parliament’s Standing Bureau by respecting the 14-day period envisioned in this regard, said Speaker Andrian Candu.
