Minister of Finance Octavian Armasu will not leave his post. The simple motion against him proposed by the Socialists wasn’t supported. Only 28 MPs voted in favor of dismissing the minister at a time when a simple motion is adopted by the votes of the majority of those attending, IPN reports.
The Socialists argued that Moldova’s economy is suffocated by debts, while the internal and external debts increased considerably. The situation in the area of public finances is catastrophic. The amounts collected into the state budget in the first half of 2016 decreased.
Octavian Armasu said in Parliament that the major task is to overcome the economic crisis and it is yet hard to achieve this objective. The macrocosmic stability must be ensured so as to be able to introduce measures to stimulate economic growth and support the business sector in the 2017 budgetary-fiscal policy already.
Earlier, the Socialists submitted simple motions against Minister of Education Corina Fusu and Minister of Defense Anatol Salaru. These were also rejected. The motion against Minister of Transport Iurie Chirinciuc is to be examined next week.
