Silvia Radu: I will work for Moldovans to enjoy better medical services

 Former acting mayor of Chisinau municipality  Silvia Radu, who was proposed by the PDM for minister of health, labor and social protection, said she will serve as a politically unaffiliated minister and will work for Moldova so that the Moldovans they enjoy better medical services and social equity, IPN reports.

In a posting on Facebook, Silvia Radu wrote that the proposal to take up the post of minister was made by Prime Minister Pavel Filip and was an unexpected one. She pondered over the proposal and, after analyzing the project that envisions a dynamic institutional management approach presented to her, she accepted.

“I’m a person formed in the area of management. My experience can be useful and I think this can help me reform the two very sensitive areas – healthcare and the social sector,” wrote Silvia Radu.

Silvia Radu served as acting mayor of Chisinau municipality from November 2017 until May 2018. She ran as an independent candidate in the elections of May 20, 2018, scoring 17.65% of the vote. She also ran in the presidential elections of November 2016. Earlier, she held the post of director general of Gas Natural Fenosa.
