Today the Republic of Moldova is at a crossroads and has the chance to elect as President a president who will represent one and all, independent candidate in the October 30 presidential elections Silvia Radu stated in the electoral public debate “What kind of President is society looking for? What kind of society does the President need?” staged by IPN News Agency.

“The country needs an independent and upright President. We must not be divided depending on our affiliation to the right or the left, our ethnicity or the spoken language. We must combine forces. No person should be left outside the cohesion process. The Republic of Moldova must be a state that works for the benefit of the people,” said the candidate.

Silvia Radu promised she will be a President who will work to promote the interests of the country and to stimulate the economic development and will demand that the state institutions should be managed by independent and upright persons who represent not a party or a group of interests, but the people because their salaries include taxes paid by the people.

The candidate will create an economic council to discuss the faced problems with businesspeople. She also aims to constitute a supreme civic or social council that will consist of representatives of the people and decision makers to find solutions to different problems.

The electoral public debate “What kind of President is society looking for? What kind of society does the President need?” forms part of a series of debates that involve candidates for the office of President of the Republic of Moldova. It was the 65th installment of the series of debates “Developing political culture by public debates” that are organized by IPN with the assistance of the German foundation “Hanns Seidel”.
