Silvia Radu will replace current Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Svetlana Cebotari, while Nicolae Ciubuc will substitute Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Liviu Volconovici, the president of the PDM Vlad Plahotniuc announced in the press briefing held after the party’s weekly meeting, IPN reports.
According to the Democratic leader, the decision was taken after Prime Minister Pavel Filip presented an own assessment of the ministries’ activity and underlined the areas where he would like more changes to take place. These areas coincide with those signaled by the people.
Vlad Plahotniuc noted the government is yet grateful to the persons who will be replaced as these performed their duties conscientiously. Extensive modernization programs will be launched in the two areas, healthcare and agriculture.
For his part, Pavel Filip said Liviu Volconovici will return to the post of director of the Agrarian University, while Svetlana Cebotari will return to the Blood Transfusion Center and will continue to manage this. The activity of the secretaries of state will also be assessed and discussions on the issue will also be launched soon.
