Servicemen and civilians will take part in the creation of a live picture “60+Moldova 2013” in the Great National Assembly Square within Earth Hour 2013. The event will be filmed and photographed from the Government Building. Besides a flashmob meeting, there will be held a live concert and fireworks, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Defense, after the people will form a live picture, military men of the Guard of Honor will march with torches in their hands from 20.30 until 21.30, while the lights will be off.
During that hour, the electric power will be switched off in all the military units of the National Army. The Presidential Orchestra will give a concert in the central square of Chisinau. In the period, the servicemen will serve tea to all the participants in Earth Hour 2013.
In the same connection, the Ministry of the Environment calls on all the institutions, companies and the people to join in the effort to save electricity in public places, intuitions, apartment buildings, and private houses for an hour – between 20.30 and 21.30.
Students of Stefan cel Mare High School and singers Ionel Istrati, Viorel Burlacu, Stefan Roscovan and others will hold a concert and will sing live, using instruments that consume a low quantity of electricity.
The official ceremony between 20.00 and 20.30 will involve President Nicolae Timofti, acting Minister of the Environment Gheorghe Salaru, ambassadors working in Moldova, and representatives of the Chisinau City Hall. When the lights will be off, Art Labirint will stage a fire show.
