From July 1, 2016, the applications for short-stay visas for France will be available from the Common Visa Issuing Center housed by the Embassy of Hungary, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration says the representation agreement is based on the cooperation between the countries that form part of the Schengen Area in issuing short-stay visas.
This way, the citizens of Moldova who do not have biometric passports will be able to get a short-stay visa to travel to France at the Common Visa Issuing Center. The long-stay and residence visas will be issued by the Embassy of France in Bucharest.
