The MPs of the Shor Party suggest creating mobile drugstores that, in their opinion, are an optimal solution given that hundreds of localities do not have drugstores and the inhabitants have to cover long distances to buy medicines. A legislative proposal to this effect was presented in a press beefing on July 9, IPN reports.

Deputy head of the Shor Party’s parliamentary group Violeta Ivanov said the party suggests amending the legal framework so that this allows running mobile drugstores. This means that vehicles equipped with refrigerators and other devices needed to store medicines provided by large networks will travel to villages where there are no stores, according to an agreed timetable, and will supply the citizens with drugs at reasonable prices.

We consider this is the most viable solution given the current situation. Furthermore, we already tested a similar project, called social stores. In the localities where such shops cannot be opened, mobile social stores travel and provide the people with fresh products. The people know the schedule and go shopping. I will not exaggerate at all if I say that owing to the mobile social stores, especially during the pandemic, we effectively saved the small villages where there are no groceries from hunger,” stated Violeta Ivanov.

The MPs of the Shor Party already had discussions with business entities that assured they will kick off such a project, if the necessary legal amendments are made, so that all the people are supplied with medicines.
