The Shor Party filed the documents for being registered as an electoral contender in the national constituency in the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019 to the Central Election Commission (CEC). Also today, December 27, the party published its list of candidates that is headed by the party’s leader Ilan Shor, mayor of Orhei town, IPN reports.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the CEC’s Communication, Public Relations and the Mass Media Division Rodica Sîrbu said the Shor Party is the only candidate that submitted the documents today and will be thus registered preliminarily under No. 5.
Under the Election Code, the CEC registers the candidates as election runners during seven days of the receipt of the required documents. The order on the ballot will become definitive only after the CEC registers the candidate as a contender in the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019.
The Shor Party’s list also includes mayor of Jora de Mijloc village Marina Tauber, Avia Invest director Petru Jardan, the party’s secretary general Maria Albot, lawyer Denis Ulanov, who handles the case in which Ilan Shor was sentenced to seven years in jail by the first court, ex-candidate in the Chisinau mayoral elections Reghina Apostolova, who was excluded from the race.
Among the candidates are also the party’s president of honor Valery Klimenko, director of the chain of social stores Vitalii Cușnir, Igor Himic, Pavel Verejanu, Valerian Cristea, Veaceslav Lupov, Nina Dimoglo and Olga Romanova.
