The Shor Party’s 51 candidates for MP in the national constituency were registered as electoral contenders in the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019. The party is the fifth electoral competitor registered in the national constituency. The decision to register the party was taken by the Central Election Commission (CEC) in its January 9 meeting, IPN reports.

CEC secretary Veaceslav Agrigoroae said the party removed the irregularities identified in the January 3 meeting, due to which the party could not be registered on the first attempt. The lists of candidates were signed by the party’s leader Ilan Shor.

The Commission also confirmed the party’s representative with the right of consultative vote at the CEC and the person responsible for finances (treasurer).

The registration decision was adopted by the votes of six members of the CEC. One member abstained, while another one didn’t take part in the vote.
