Shor Party: CEC decision not to register our list is political provocation

The Central Election Commission’s decision not to register the Shor Party’s list of candidates for MP in the national constituency is a new political provocation and is based on invented reasons, the Shor Party noted in a statement that is quoted by IPN.

The statement says it is not for the first time that the party is prevented from taking part in election campaigns. The Shor Party’s candidate for President in the elections of 2016 and the candidate for mayor of Chisinau in the early elections of 2018 were excluded from the election campaign as incorrectly and illegally.

“We understand that someone is concerned about our rising popularity and the growing confidence we enjoy among our citizens. We realize well that the old politicians, of whom the people are already tired as these cannot do concrete things, are ready to do anything to keep their posts so as to be able to further fool the people. We also understand that we are a serious opponent for the Party of Socialists that is hysterically trying to influence the members of the CEC,” runs the statement.

This also says that the Shor Party, despite all the attempts made by non-friends, will mandatorily take part in the electoral race of 2019 and will win.

The Shor Party’s candidates for MP in the national constituency weren’t registered for the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019. The registration decision didn’t garner the necessary number of votes in the January 3 meeting of the Central Election Commission. The Commission invoked the non-observance of the statutory procedures concerning the fielding of candidates for MP and the approval of the list of candidates as violations concerning the powers of the party’s president were identified.
