Ilan Shor, the leader of the eponymous party, has announced three simultaneous rallies on May 21, in the cities of Bălți, Comrat and Orhei. According to the fugitive politician, the events will culminate with resolutions demanding a referendum on Moldova’s foreign policy.
“Admittedly, today we have a part of the population that supports joining the European Union. However. But we also have a part that does not support the European Union, because it condones the closing of TV channels, the illegal arrest of political leaders, the cancellation of elections and other anti-democratic slippages”, declared Shor in a video message, adding that “only the people have the right to decide on the foreign vector”.
The politician also expressed his party’s regret for not being able to hold a simultaneous rally in Chisinau as well, “because the rallies in the capital have been usurped by the current fascist regime of Maia Sandu”.
