Fugitive politician Ilan Shor, who was sentenced in Moldova to 15 years in prison for financial fraud, said that the “congress” of activists of the political bloc “Victory” was held in Moscow on June 9, according to a post published by him on Facebook. For its part, the “Chance” Party issued a press release informing that its leader Alexei Lungu took part in the “congress” of “Victory” bloc, IPN reports.

Lungu said that the participants gathered together “to discuss the country’s development course, which will be decisive for us, our families and the future generations”. “We talked about the political situation in the country, about dictatorship, which is expanding, about the militarization of Moldova and, of course, about the upcoming elections and postal voting, through which Sandu and the PAS aim to prevent the participation of the Moldovan diaspora from Russia and a number of other countries. Our unanimous opinion is that this is unacceptable,” stated Alexei Lungu.

The common objectives of the bloc, which Alexei Lungu attributes to the “entire opposition”, are to fight “against the regime that has taken over the country, to preserve our identity, traditions and national foundations, which are now under enormous pressure”. Lungu believes that “the Eurasian Economic Union, with countries that truly respect the Moldovan citizens and do not consider them servants, offers the Republic of Moldova a real chance for prosperity and well-being”. The information campaign announced by “Victory” bloc is devoted to this purpose.
