A Chemical Tanker ship sailing under Moldova’s colors was hit by a shell in the neutral waters of the Black Sea. It is not known who launched the shell. According to the Naval Agency of the Republic of Moldova, the ten members of the crew are citizens of the Russian Federation, IPN reports.
The Agency noted that a fire started aboard and the rescue boats and equipment were destroyed. The crew left the ship with rescue vests only.
The ships sailing nearby are taking rescue action.
There were no Moldovans on the ship “Millennial Spirit”, said the authorities.
