Sheriff Tiraspol on Tuesday won narrowly, 1-0, over CSCA-Rapid Ghidighici in Round 13 of the the Moldovan premiership, Info-Prim Neo reports. Though visibly dominant over the entire course of the match, Moldova's champions managed to find the target only once, late in the game, when striker Alexandr Erokhin sent Alexandru Suvorov's corner into the goal. The Ghidighici-based club finished with ten men on the pitch after Dumitru Seul was sent off. This result promotes Sheriff to the third place in the standings, behind Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa and Dacia Chisinau. National Division fixtures will be postponed due to the participation of the Moldovan national team in World Cup qualifiers, and will be resumed on October 18.
