Sheriff Tiraspol secured a 0-1 win in Tirana against Partizani in the first leg of the Europa League second qualifying round.

The Cameroonian striker Robert Tambe scored the game’s only goal on the 24th minute. Sheriff manager Zoran Zekic used the following line-up: Mikulic, Gordienko (Jach 86), N`Diaye, Muzek, Cristiano, Balima, Kendysh (Palic 90+4), Anton, Latifi (Cojocaru 48), Boban, Tambe.

“I am pleased by the first game. Our qualifying chances remain equal”, Zoran Zekic told reporters after the match.

The second-leg game will take place in Tiraspol on August 1 august. Should the Moldovan champions succeed, they will encounter whoever loses the Champions League qualifying fixture between Maribor (Slovenia) and AIK (Sweden).
