Sheriff lost the away game against Iceland’s reigning champions Valur 1-2 , but still qualified for the Europa League playoffs thanks to the 1-0 win in Tiraspol, IPN reports.

In playoffs, Sheriff will clash with Qarabag, the winners of Azerbaijan’s five consecutive championships. Last year, the Tiraspol team encountered Qarabag in the third Champions League qualifying round, losing by 1-2 on aggregate.
