Sheriff this evening meets in Chisinau the team that took away two trophies from it this year – Moldova’s Cup and Moldova’s Super Cup. This time the team from Tiraspol is determined to deliver a victory against Zimbru, IPN reports.
“We must take revenge by all means because this is a match of the championship and we must get the three points needed to come closer to the top,” Sheriff striker Radu Ginsari told the reporters.
Zimbru is going through a bad patch. The ‘yellow-greens’ won no victory in five stages and now take the eighth spot in the rankings.
“My team is able to overcome the crisis. We had a hectic schedule in the recent past. We played a lot of games in a very short period of time,” said Zimbru coach Oleg Kubarev.
“We showed that we can play and can beat Sheriff in the final of the Cup and of the Super Cup. I see no obstacle to scoring a new victory,” said Zimbru halfback Alexandru Dedov.
The encounter between Zimbru and Sheriff starts at 7pm on September 27. The ninth stage also includes the matches between Veris and FC Costuleni, Zaria and Dinamo-Auto, Academia and Milsami, and FC Tiraspol and Dacia.
