Sheriff has won the National Football Division of Moldova for the 17th time. The team from Tiraspol drew 1-1 with Milsami and became champion four stages before the end of the competition, IPN reports.
Ziguy Badibanga opened the score in the 76th minute, but Mihai Plătică tied for the guests in the last but one minute of the game. Petrocub, which drew at home with Sfîntul Gheorghe 0-0, didn’t profit from the draw scored by Milsami. The team trained by Lilian Popescu has the same score as Milsami.
“It’s the end of the championship and all the matches are tense. It is ultimately an equitable result for us because we and the guests had important occasions for scoring,” Petrocub coach Lilian Popescu told a news conference.
The other two matches of the 24th stage ended as follows: Dinamo-Auto - Speranța 0-1 and Zimbru - Zaria 3-1.
