Sheriff Tiraspol closed this winter’s training session in Turkey with a victory. The National Division leader won against the champion of Bulgaria Ludogorets by 1-0, IPN reports.

The only goal was scored by Cadu in the 60th minute. The Brazilian footballer scored with a kick from outside the field, in the goal defended by former goalkeeper of Sheriff Vladislav Stoyanov. Sheriff had one more big chance of scoring, but Ricardinho hit the bar.

“I’m very satisfied with my pupils’ attitude in the first training session. We encountered difficulties, but all the players had a good performance,” Sheriff coach Veaceslav Rusnac said after the game.

Earlier, Sheriff drew 2-2 with FC Vaslui. Today, January 29, Moldova’s champion returned home, but on February 7 will go again to Turkey. In the second training season, Sheriff will play against Petrolul, OFK Belgrade and Botosani.

The National Division matches will be resumed on February 28, when Sheriff meets Speranta. Sheriff is a clear leader in the rankings, with 50 points after 19 stages.
