The team Sfantul Gheorghe beat away Petrocub-Hancesti 2-1 in the first match of the 12th stage of the National Division. Owing to this victory, the team from Suruceni left the last position in the rankings, IPN reports.
Sfantul Gheorghe was leading by 2-0 owing to the goals scored by Ghechev in the 42nd minute and Plamadeala in the 57th minute. The hosts scored the goal of honor through Paireli in the 76th minute.
“We didn’t expect such a hard match. The hosts had enough occasions for scoring. But in football it is the luck that counts,” Sfantul Gheorghe coach Sergiu Secu told a news conference.
“I want to encourage the team. We suffered the second consecutive defeat undeservedly. We should focus more on offense,” said the coach of Petrocub-Hancesti Lilian Popescu.
The Spicul - Dinamo-Auto, Dacia – Milsami and Zaria – Speranta games were scheduled for September 30, while the Zimbru - Sheriff derby match will be played on October 1.
