Severe frost keeps students away from school

A series of national education institutions were closed on February 1 owing to the extremely cold weather. They included kindergartens and primary and secondary schools situated in different districts, the Ministry of Education has said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Among the closed institutions are the secondary schools in Gangura, Ialoveni, and Saratica Noua, Leova, all the primary schools in Rezina district and three kindergartens in Chipesca, Alcedar and Mihuleni villages of Soldanesti district. The first graders in Drepcauti, Briceni, will also not go to school. The school managers, together with a teacher council, are to set a schedule to recover the failed classes. The yellow code advisory covers the period until the end of this week. Nighttime temperatures will range between minus 20 and 24 degrees Celsius.
