Several parking lots to be set up in downtown Chisinau

Parking lots will be built on the side of several arteries in Chisinau in order to ease traffic, Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca said at Monday’s meeting of the City Hall, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to the mayor, parking lots will be set up on Mihai Viteazu – Gagarin and Albisoara – Mateevici streets. The cars could be left on the roadside and the movement of the units of transport and the people will not be hindered. Such lots were built on Gheorghe Asachi St a year ago and they proved useful. The head of the Public Transport and Communications Division Veaceslav Tarna said that all the streets that go to education institutions will be stopped up by September 1. 130,000 square meters of road have been repaired so far. The road markings have been renewed on an area of 34,200 square meters. 1,125 traffic signs have been placed or changed.
