Individuals who rent out property, including through the online platforms Booking and Airbnb, are required to register the rental agreements with the State Fiscal Service.
The State Fiscal Service says that owners are required to register the contracts within seven days from concluding. A monthly tax of 7% of the contract value shall apply, payable no later than on the 25th of the current month.
Registration can be done at the Fiscal Service Departments of the State Fiscal Service or electronically through the e-Application service, under the “Request for registration of real estate leasing contracts by natural persons” module.
Other options include: by means of a registered letter with the attachment of the necessary confirmatory documents or by means of the official e-mail of the State Fiscal Service. People are urged to access a guide regarding the registration of the contract for the transfer of possession and/or use of real estate.
