The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) excluded 14 persons from a list of claimants for plots of land located in the region of Grenoble Street, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In its interpellation, one of the leaders of “Social Action” Bloc, Mihai Roscovan said that in the draft decision on giving to private property the plots, together with 8 servicemen, several public servants and municipal councillors appeared. “It is a crime against the inhabitants of Chisinau the situation when local councillors vote in their benefit, in light of the fact that a plot in this region is worth about EUR 100 thousand”, Roscovan said.
In the same context, the councillor of “Moldova Noastra” Alliance, Oleg Cernei said that “behind the servicemen”, two deputy ministers of Internal Affairs, Igor Bodorin and Valentin Zubic, seven municipal councillors from different factions, deputy prosecutor of Chisinau, Vasile Gherasimenco, the director of “Moldova Village”, Tudor Tataru, as well as other 11 persons were included in the list. According to Cernei, Tataru was offered previously a plot – fact confirmed in the note of the General department for Architecture, Urbanism and Landed Relations. The councillor says Tataru sold the plot. Cernei asked the interim mayor, Veaceslav Iordan to explain how these persons were included in the draft decision and proposed to cut 14 persons from the list.
The chairman of the CMC meeting, Christian-Democrat Councillor Eugenia Starcea said that if the exclusion of several persons is asked, than the entire list should be cancelled. In retort, the leaders of SAB, Mihai Roscovan and Ion Mamaliga, as well as other councillors insisted that those 8 servicemen should not be excluded from the list, as there was a court decision by means of which local authorities are obliged to provide them with plots for the construction of dwellings.
Communist councillor Valeri Pavlov said that the Communist faction considers necessary to postpone the voting, in order to discuss the issue. He said that it is unethical that Cernei made public the names of the persons who requested lands from CMC”.
The proposal of Oleg Cernei was voted by 30 councillors, including communist councillors.
