A fire that broke out in an apartment building in Balti town in the afternoon of October 28 engulfed an apartment from the third floor where there was a seven-year-old child inside, IPN reports.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the fire started in a block on Lesicico St in Balti. Alerted by the child who was in the apartment alone, the neighbors called the firefighters.
The fire was localized in about 15 minutes. It didn’t extend to other apartments. A SMURD ambulance came to the scene to give the child first air as he was in a state of shock. He didn’t need hospitalization.
The circumstances and cause of fire are yet to be established.
