The National Bank of Moldova decided to issue sets of coins with the face value of 1, 2, 5 and 10 lei for representation and numismatic purposes or as souvenirs following multiple requests from public institutions, commercial organizations, travel agencies and persons, IPN reports.
The prices at which the sets will be sold and the date when they will become available are not yet known.
Before placing the production order, the central bank asks the potential buyers to indicate the quantities they would like to purchase, without contractual obligations at the current stage. These are requested to send a preliminary application to the email address operatiuni.numerar@bnm.md by October 31, 2018.
Besides the four coins, the set will contain a description of the technical specifications and safety elements and the legend of the coins in Romanian and English.
The sets of coins could be bought by governmental agencies from the National Bank of Moldova and by business entities and private individuals from licensed banks.
