Democratic MP Sergiu Sarbu, after the July 14 meeting of the working groups, said they hope a common draft for the political agreement on the formation of the alliance and for the government program will be agreed by the end of this week. “The government program and the agreement that existed until now will lay at the basis of the new documents, but there will be probably a number of amendments given the current social, political and economic situation,” said the MP, quoted by IPN.
Sergiu Sarbu stated that the first meeting was more an organizational one. There were suggested terms and designated the representatives who will collect the proposals, will systemize and distribute them. The groups do not discuss the distribution of posts, but only the drafting of the two documents.
According to the MP, a new meeting of the working groups will most probably take place on July 16, but the party leaders will hold a new round of talks on July 15.
The working groups that are to draft the agreement on the formation of the ruling alliance and the government program started work on July 14. Such an agreement was reached by the leaders of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party in the negotiations.
