Society will protest massively if Maia Sandu is not appointed Prime Minister, considers the leader of the People’s Movement “Antimafie” Sergiu Mocanu, who made such statements in the talk show “Friday with Anatolie Golea” on RTR Moldova channel, IPN reports.
According to Mocanu, Maia Sandu will become Prime Minister if society exerts pressure on the three parties by protests. “Maia Sandu is the best candidate that could be fielded by the PLDM. But Plahotniuc does not like her. Maia Sandu is the only official who said it openly that we have a captive state. She will be a Premier that will not fulfill political orders. We support Maia Sandu. I think the people will massively protest if Maia Sandu does not become Premier,” he said.
In the same program, Igor Volnitski, former spokesman for ex-Premier Vlad Filat, said the chances for Maia Sandu to be voted in Premier represent only 10%. “Maia Sandu is a good candidate. Let’s hope that she will be ultimately voted in. Anyway, the PLDM has other suitable candidates for premiership such as Valeriu Strelet and Natalia Gherman,” he stated.
