The Strelet Government will be dismissed this Thursday and the next Cabinet will be headed by unaffiliated MP Iurie Leanca. Such a forecast was made by the leader of the People’s Movement “Antimafie” Sergiu Mocanu in the talk show “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.
“The Strelet Government will fall and we will have a politically colored administration. Strelet is trying to do everything possible for Plahotniuc to keep him. But the latter will not stop and will go up to the end. The future of the Government depends on what Plahotniuc wants and I think that Strelet does not have arguments for Plahotniuc. Iurie Leanca will be the next Premier. He is the ideal candidate for Plahotnic. He is supported by the Europeans and will be able to attract some loans. But Leanca is yet blackmailable as he was mentioned in the self-bouncing statements of Shor, alongside Filat,” said the politician.
Expert of the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives “Viitorul” Corneliu Ciurea considers the tenure of Valeriu Strelet as Prime Minister will end on October 29. “I think the Government will be changed, not yet the government coalition, which will be ‘renewed’. Most probably, Valeriu Strelet will withdraw from politics. He himself said that he is tired,” he stated.
Alexandru Slusari, a member of the Council of the Great National Assembly, believes the Democratic Party will not vote in favor of the censure motion. “Filat’s arrest shook the Moldovan political class. For Plahotniuc, it is convenient for this Government to be kept, on condition that the PLDM detaches itself from Filat,” he said.
