Early parliamentary elections will most probably not take place, the leader of the People’s Movement “Antimafie” Sergiu Mocanu said in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on the public station “Radio Moldova”, IPN reports.
“I do not believe in early elections. For these to take place, Nicolae Timofti should have resigned. The head of state will not resign. I do not believe in a coalition of the left either. Such a coalition is not convenient for Plahotniiuc. The PSRM and PPPN are the only parties that do not depend financially on Vlad Plahotniuc and that cannot be controlled by this,” stated Sergiu Mocanu.
The leader of “Antimafie” considers the PLDM will fall apart in the near future and a part of the Liberal-Democratic MPs will join Iurie Leanca’s party, while others the PDM. “Thus, Plahotniiuc managed to destroy the PLDM. It is a plan for fully subduing the country. It is known that besides the PDM, Plahotniuc controls the party of Iurie Leanca as well as the PL and PCRM,” said the politician.
As to the arrest of former Premier Vlad Filat, Sergiu Mocanu said the Lib-Dem deserves punishment. “Filat must be jailed. He promised a lot of things to the people, but did something else. The good side is that only one target remained. This is Plahotniuc, who will ultimately be held accountable,” he stated.
