For Silvia Radu to be named acting mayor of Chisinau, democracy was abolished. This act showed that the democratic exercise no longer matters, leader of the People’s Movement “Antimafie” Sergiu Mocanu stated in the talk show “Important” on TVC21 channel, IPN reports.
“It was seen that a person can reach such a post by abolishing the democratic exercise. Elections are not necessary and you don’t need someone to vote for you. You have to only be near Vladimir Plahotniuc. I assure you that Silvia Radu represents Plahotniuc,” stated Sergiu Mocanu.
According to him, Silvia Radu is neither a good manager, nor a hope for Chisinau. By this appointment, Vladimir Plahotniuc showed that he does want he wants. The Democratic leader’s plans with respect to Silvia Radu are for this to work miracles at the City Hall until 2019 so that she is then eligible and is elected by a democratic vote to the same post.
On November 6, ex-president of Gas Natural Fenosa Silvia Radu and municipal councilor Ruslan Codreanu were named deputy mayors of Chisinau by order of acting mayor Nistor Grozavu. Also, Nistor Grozavu issued a statement, informing that he delegates his duties of acting mayor to Silvia Radu.
