The current Cabinet was constituted not for Prime Minister Pavel Filip, but for the Democratic leader Vladimir Plahotniuc, the leader of the People’s Movement “Antimafie” Sergiu Mocanu stated in the program “Important” on TVC 21 channel. According to him, the leader of the Democratic Party is paving the way for taking up premiership, IPN reports.
“This is the Cabinet of Plahotniuc, but Plahotniuc is waiting for the day when he will be able to enter the front door of the Government Building,” said Sergiu Mocanu, explaining why the composition of the executive was modified.
As to the upcoming parliamentary elections, Sergiu Mocanu said the Party of Socialists and the Democratic Party will not form a coalition. “Plahotniuc and Dodon will continue to dispute in the public sphere,” he stated.
According to him, the Socialists’ list of candidates for MP will include people of Vladimir Plahotniuc, who will vote the Cabinet in after the elections. The staff of the leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” Maia Sandu also contains people paid by Vladimir Plahotniuc. “These are persons who receive salaries from Plahotniuc, not because Plahotniuc is powerful, but because the people are poor,” said Sergiu Mocanu.
