Sergiu Banari, a member of the Balti Municipal Council, has lodged his 2,500 signatures with the Central Election committee (CEC) on Wednesday to be registered as an independent contestant in the race for a seat in the parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports. He has told media about the motives making him join the electoral fight, but insisted he will make know his platform after being registered with the CEC. In case he gets into the Legislature, Banari wants to set up a committee to revise the results of the last privatizations in Moldova. “This was the first trick. 4 million Moldovans remained, as fools, without money, without getting anything,” said. El also wants to start two referendums to let the citizens decide the name of the official language of Moldova and to grant the status of an official language to the Russian language.
