Serghei Tarnovschi is aiming for new silverware. After gold medals at the junior world championships, the Moldovan canoeist is participating in the World Championship for seniors in Milano, IPN reports.
The athlete reached the semifinals in the 1000 meters simple kayak competition after finishing 2nd in qualifying stages. The duo of Oleg Nuta and Pavel Rusa also reached the semifinals after a 4th place finish in the 500 meters section. Zoia Mamaeva finished 9th in the 500 meters qualifications.
Moldova's other representatives at the tournament in Milan are Serghei Vihrov and Oleg Tarnovschi.
