Serafim Urecheanu: I'll say yes to presidential nomination

“If I'm offered to become a presidential candidate, I will say yes”, the head of the Court of Accounts Serafim Urecheanu, one of the leaders of the ruling coalition in the previous parliament, told Radio Moldova. “Why not? How is Urecheanu worse, especially considering my experience? I'm a diligent man, and unaffiliated, too. I've always been independent. I led a party that I founded on the request of a group of independent mayors”, said Serafim Urechean. The former president of the Our Moldova Alliance Party said he had a rich experience and knew what problems people faced and how to draw the country out of the enduring crisis. “The next president should not be greedy”, said Serafim Urecheanu. The European Integration Alliance gave up its idea of holding a constitutional referendum and instead, on February 16, will announce the date of yet another round of presidential elections. The Alliance leaders stated they were looking for a candidate that is able to collect at least 61 votes in Parliament required to secure election.
