A long distance driver continued his way without the semi-trailer towed by the truck after the police at the Giurgiulești-Galați state border crossing point determined that this was included in the Interpol database as looked for by the Turkish authorities, IPN reports.
The Border Police said the vehicle was driven by a Bulgarian citizen aged 40. The semi-trailer was registered in Bulgaria. The driver could not explain the situation, saying the vehicle didn’t belong to him. He worked as a driver for a Bulgarian firm.
The semi-trailer will stay at the Giurgiulești-Galați frontier post until all the circumstances are elucidated.
According to Interpol, the border police in 2019 identified 26 units of transport put on the wanted list.
