The persons who arrive in Romania from countries or zones with an increased epidemiological risk as of July 21 will have to self-isolate again. The list updated by the National Institute of Public Health is available in the Republic of Moldova too, IPN reports, quoting a press release of Romania’s Embassy in Chisinau.

The citizens of the Republic of Moldova and other states that do not fit the exception categories cannot enter Romania. All the persons who cross Romania and do not have symptoms typical of the infection with the novel coronavirus, regardless of the country of origin or of destination, are exempted from self-isolation.

For special situations related to participation in family events, such as births, marriages or deaths, trips to have medical treatment/surgery in cases that cannot be put off, like cancers and chronic renal failure dependent on hemodialysis, change of identification papers, leaving of the country and others, the temporary suspension of the self-isolation measure can be considered and ordered by an individual decision issued by the local Public Health Division.

Romania’s Embassy in Chisinau recommends all the persons to permanently inform themselves only from official sources about the conditions of entry and stay on Romania’s territory before setting off so that they do not have to return from border crossing points.
