According to a communiqué from the presidential press service, the institution is attended by 178 students. “I think it is possible to erect imposing houses and to build decent roads in every village of Moldova, as those we’ve seen here. For the purpose, we should be united and should continue our road to the civilized world, to the European Union,” said Nicolae Timofti.
A sum of 220 million lei was allocated from the state budget for building homes in Cotul Morii, Sarateni, Nemteni and Obileni villages that were flooded in 2010. The governments of Romania and Georgia also provided financial assistance. Of the 685 houses constructed, 64 were built by two associations.
