The Prosecutor General’s Office conducted searches in the case concerning the illegal appropriation of a parcel in the forest of Durlești by which damage of over 2.3 million lei was caused to the state, IPN reports.
According to the indictment, in 2015-2021, in breach of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and other laws, without the consent of the lessor of Moldsilva Forestry Agency, in the absence of the permission of the central environmental body of the public administration, a number of persons illegally carried out works to build houses, a garage, pergolas, water supply and sewerage systems and other constructions on that lot.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said legal action was taken follow owing notifications from the environmental body.
