Searches are being conducted at the former minister of the interior Alexandru Jizdan, who is investigated for unjust enrichment and filing of fraudulent returns, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases said that the searches are being carried out at a number of places. “Details about other aspects of the investigation will be made known later when the procedural measures and the rights of the parties will not be affected,” runs a press release.
The searches are conducted with the assistance of officers of the Security and Intelligence Service.
