The police have carried out searches at the head offices of SA “Moldovagaz” and “Chisinau-gaz” SRL and at the homes of decision makers of the two companies, including of the president of “Moldovagaz” Alexandru Gusev.
Contacted by IPN, prosecutor Vitalie Busuioc said searches are performed concomitantly at a number of addresses within the investigations conducted in two criminal cases, but didn’t give more details. According to him, more information will be provided in the afternoon.
A month ago, the Prosecutor General’s Office said they seized documents referring to the economic and financial activity of SA “Moldovagaz”, SA “Moldtelecom” and SA “Metalferos” within investigations into the activity of state-run companies with dominant positions on the market opened following the accusations of abuse of power made in the October 15 sitting of Parliament.
