The National Anticorruption Center carried out searches at the Consular Section of Moldova’s Embassy in Bucharest as part of criminal proceedings instituted against a former employee of the Embassy, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.
Persons were questioned and materials were seized for additional verifications and for documenting the case.
In the period, the Embassy’s program wasn’t disrupted. The Ministry reiterated its zero tolerance of corruption, noting the acts of corruption can be reported by phone, in written form or online to the National Anticorruption Center.
